Artisanal Restoration specializes in the service and restoration of historic homes, handling everything from routine maintenance to full-scale renovations. Restoration of antique pieces
We refresh worn finishes, restore scratched and chipped surfaces, and repair structural damage in antique furniture and cabinetry. Master carpenter Randall Basti of Artisanal Restoration has both the eye for detail to recongnize and preserve the unique personality of the original piece, and the technical skill to handle the complex joinery and intricate ornamentation usually involved in the restoration.
Custom-built furniture and cabinets
We build custom furniture and cabinetry to almost any size and specification and will work with you through the design process from start to finish to ensure the piece exactly fits, both functionally and aesthetically, the special role it will fulfill in your home.
Decks and porches
We offer both restoration and new construction of decks and porches. We can repair rot damage, structural issues, and worn finishes, replace rotted structural framing, install decking surface, and build fences, rails, and stairs. Both repairs and new construction are made to last, using rot-resistant decking material and finishes, corrosion-resistant hardware, and structural framing designed to minimize damage from ground and water contact.

Working with Artisanal Restoration
In practice, working with Artisanal Restoration looks something like this:
- You contact us by contact form, phone, or email from our Contact page. Randall, the owner of Artisanal Restoration, will respond to discuss your project, answer questions, and schedule an on-site consultation at your home; you will then discuss a plan of work, project schedule, and budget.
- Randall performs the work himself at your home, bringing the necessary tools and materials with him in his pickup truck and packing up at the end of the day. He comes with his trusty vacuum and cleans up throughout the work day—many clients report returning to such clean homes that they hardly believe they had construction work performed earlier that day.
- Randall will be communicative and accessible throughout the project, offering suggestions on design, how to do the work faithfully to the character and time period of your home, how to make repairs that will last permanently, and ways to simplify work and reduce costs without sacrificing quality; and he is always ready to explain both the functional and design reasons for any choice he makes.
